Jane Mancini, Sydney’s sister, arrives in Melrose Place to announce that she’s inherited the building from Sydney. She later threatens Ella with incriminating e-mails she sent to Sydney unless she dresses a client for a movie premiere in one of Jane’s designs. Desperate, Ella asks David for help. Detective Rodriguez asks Violet about her connection to Sydney, but Violet flees her apartment through her window. Lauren meets a John at a hotel bar when Toby stands her up, leading her to make the decision to take her side job to a new level. However, Wendi, a local madam, threatens Lauren to stay away from the hotel.
Sydney’s sister inherits Melrose Place and starts to shake things up with Ella, and leaves the other residents talking. Violet has police officers after her skin and runs away, while Lauren still sees the man paying her for sex.
Jane Andrews introduces herself as Sydney’s sister and the new landlord, she then threatens Ella to show the police some e-mail that Sydney sent if she gets one of her clients to wear one of her dresses. David gets a job at Coal thanks to Auggie. Det. Rodrigues comes to question Violet about Sydney’s murder, she gets scared and escapes out of the bathroom window. Violet goes to Jane and says she’s Sydney’s daughter and needs her help, Jane agrees and leaves and calls the police. Ella gets a call from Jane saying this isn’t the last time anyone wears one of her dresses, and it makes them partners. Jonah gets invited to a hollywood premiere thanks to Ella, and with a little help from Riley, he gets to talk with a producer. Riley tells Jonah she has to leave cause Violet has been arrested. David sees the guy that he thinks his father sent to follow, he gets into with him and gets fired from his job. Jane warns Ella if Abby doesn’t wear the dress it’ll be a mistake. Lauren gets stood up by Toby, and meets a guy named Victor, who later stiffs her when he refuses to give her money. Lauren is about to be thrown out, and Wendi intervenes and says she’s with her and says next time the security will be the least of her worries. David tells Ella that Jane was once married to his father and will bury her, which leaves Ella grateful. Jane calls Det. Rodriguez and says Ella Simms had every reason to want Sydney dead.
