Jenny go with Damien to a State Dinner but she wasn’t aware that it was also to help him with a drug exchange. Vanessa and Dan try to move past Dan’s confession. Rufus returns from a ski trip and tries to avoid Lily.
Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Nate Archibald (Chase Crawford) are reunited in the Upper East Side. They could not keep their hands off each other, even though Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) suggested for them to act otherwise. Dan told Nate to take things slow. Nate took this advice to heart and took back his invitation from Serena to a French Ambassador dinner party. This conflicted with Blair’s advice to Serena to play games with Nate. Serena took this move as Nate being over Serena and wanted a break.
Damien, who has been working with Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) on a drug dealing stint, decides to take Serena to the Ambassador’s dinner, dumping Jenny. Damien and Jenny were scheming to pass the pills of the French Ambassador’s daughter by sewing them into a jacket Jenny made that is exactly like one of the Ambassador’s daughter. Damien gives the jacket to Serena to wear and their plans are ruined when Serena refuses to take the jacket off.
Serena and Nate end up in the coat check room and they hook up on the couch. She takes her jacket off and throws it on the ground. Damien thought his plans were ruined and thought he was going to get excommunicated from the drug dealing world; but Jenny saves him. She sees the jacket and makes sure the Ambassador’s daughter gets it.
Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) is still hung up on that strange woman he saw standing at his father’s grave. He hires a private detective to do some investigation. He finds out the woman’s name is Elizabeth and tracks her down. Blair ditches the Ambassador’s dinner to track him down. He finally confronts her and shows her the locket and asks her for the truth. She denies everything. Blair later calls her out for lying and tells her to tell Chuck the truth.
Rufus Humphtrey (Matthew Settle) confronts Lily Van Der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) about the letter he found. Lily claims that he did not cheat on Rufus, and that it was only a kiss. The episode ends with Rufus going to another woman’s apartment.
