It’s Thanksgiving in the Upper East Side, and it’s being served with plenty of drama. Blair begins to think that her mother is hiding something from her, and it turns out to be something Blair never expected. Vanessa had planned to spend the holiday with her parents, but after having a fight with her mother, she turns to Dan. Meanwhile, Rufus learns Lily has been lying about Cece; Chuck tells Nate he has dirt on one of their friends; Jenny learns Eric was to blame for her public embarrassment, and sets out to seek revenge; and Serena is put in an awkward position when her mother invites Trip and Maureen to Thanksgiving dinner.
Blair bid to find out what her Mother is hiding backfires. Vanessa gets into a fight with her mom and ends up at the Humphreys. Rufus is hurt when he discovers Lily has been lying to him. Chuck divulges some news that could ruin a friend to Nate. Jenny finds tries to get even with Eric after learning the truth.
Nate Archibald (Chase Crawford) has strong feelings for Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) has a security tape of Serena and Tripp making out in the elevator. Nate uses this tape to blackmail Serena and Tripp into ending their affair.
Tripp’s wife, Maureen, comes back to NYC to spend Thanksgiving with her husband and try to make things better. She is not happy with ending their marriage. Maureen runs into Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) on the street. They are wearing the same coat. Lily invites Maureen and Tripp over for Thanksgiving dinner, hoping that he will bring Serena along since they have been spending long hour working together.
On Thanksgiving, Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle) surprises Lily with her mom. During dinner, everyone’s secrets get revealed. Serena’s affair gets put out in the open when Nate shows Maureen the security tape. Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) finds out what Eric (Connor Paolo) did to her at Cotillion. Vanessa is not happy with how her mom is as a parent. Blair’s suspicion about her mom, Eleanor’s (Margaret Colin), pregnancy is falsified. It turns out that Eleanor and her husband Cyrus are moving to Paris. Dorota is the one that is pregnant, with the doorman’s baby. Blair and Eleanor encourage her to go tell him. He receives the news warmly.
Eleanor came into town to change her will because she and Cyrus are moving to Paris. They invite Blair to come along on a trip. Blair, being a good friend, invites Serena along to escape all the drama with Nate and Tripp. While getting her passport out of the safe, she finds a letter that reveals Lily’s secret. Tripp decides to leave Maureen and persuades Serena not to go to Paris. Serena chooses to get in a cab with Tripp over leaving with Nate, who professed his love for her.
Back at the Humphrey house, Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) mom tells Dan that it’s obvious that he has feelings for her, and that he cannot break her heart again like he had done previously done; or else he would permanently loose Vanessa’s friendship. He steps aside and encourages Vanessa to bring her mom to meet some guy she is seeing. At the end of the episode, Maureen accidentally grabs Lily’s coat and finds the letter in the pocket. Lily had shoved the letter in there when she heard Rufus approaching.
